Role Overview
We are currently seeking passionate and skilled therapists for the following roles:
– Associate Child and Adolescent Counsellor
– Adult Therapist
– Couples Counsellor
These roles offer hybrid working, based in Essex with the flexibility to work from home. As a therapist with Benfleet Counselling, you will provide therapy to clients of various age groups, dealing with a wide range of mental health issues. You will conduct therapy sessions, complete assessments, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure the best possible support for each client.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide individual therapy to children, adults, or couples facing mental health challenges.
– Conduct assessments and develop personalised treatment plans for each client.
– Collaborate with other professionals and support networks to deliver integrated care.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and therapy sessions.
– Create a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment for all clients.
What We’re Looking For
– Experience in counselling children, adults, or couples (depending on the role).
– Knowledge of trauma-informed care and effective therapeutic techniques.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
– Understanding of child development (for Child and Adolescent Counsellor role) or psychology (for Adult and Couples Counsellor roles).
– Qualification in Counselling and Psychology (Level 4 diploma or above).
– Accreditation or working towards accreditation from a relevant professional body.
– Experience working with adoption-related issues is a bonus (for Child and Adolescent Counsellor role).
– Attachment-Informed experience is essential.
